If possible, the orderer of the translation should supply us with the auxiliary literature on the language on which the text should be translated as well as define an expert for consultations or make a compilation of required special terminology. In case that the orderer does not provide us with help, translator will use the terms from the literature he has. For the purposes of consecutive translation, orderer has to inform the translator on the field that will be the subject of conversation and provide him with the necessary documents. In the same way, regarding consecutive translations, orderer should provide him with an outline of the text that will be translated. The translations are delivered to orderer in one copy, via e-mail, CD, or as a printed document. Regarding consecutive and simultaneous translation, charges will be made on the basis of the time spent with the orderer between the moment of translator’s arrival and the termination of negotiations (conference) regardless of the actual time that the translator was translating. For one day of consecutive or conference translating outside the translator’s place of residence at least 8 hours are charged. Besides that, the orderer has to cover the traveling expenses as well as the expenses of accommodation and food.

 1.   Delivery deadlines

Translations from foreign languages to Croatian

The quantity of up to 6 typed double-spaced pages is being charged according to the tariff listed in the Pricelist. If the daily quota requires that the quantity of text translated before the defined deadline increases to 7 or 8 pages, we apply the urgent tariff which is increased by 50% from the normal one, and if the orderer requires 9 or more pages a day, the extremely urgent tariff is charged, which amounts to a tariff increased by 100% according to the Pricelist. In such cases all the typed double-spaced pages are charged according to the urgent or extremely urgent tariff and not just those ones that were translated beyond the daily norm.

Translations to foreign languages and from one foreign language to another foreign language

The quantity of 4 typed double-spaced pages max is charged according to the tariff listed in the Pricelist. If the translation increases to 5 or 6 pages a day the price increases by 50% and if the orderer requires the translation of  7 or more pages a day, the price increases by 100%. Every translation from foreign language and to foreign language that needs to be realized the same day or the day following the delivery of the original, will be considered as an extremely urgent translation regardless of its size. The delivery deadline does not include the day when the original was received or the day of the delivery of the text.

2.   Correction

Translation agency prevodimo.com provides services of text correction. If the text that needs correction is a translation from Croatian to a foreign language, the job is done by native speakers in order for the translation to be as accurate as possible. If it is the case of a correction of a text in Croatian, it is done by highly educated experts specialized in text correction. Daily norm of texts in foreign languages is 8 pages a day. For the correction of 9 to 12 pages a day the urgent tariff is charged, and for the correction of 13 or more pages a day we charge the extremely urgent tariff (100% or more). The daily norm for the correction of texts in Croatian is 12 pages. If the orderer requires the correction of 13 to 18 pages a day, the price increases by 50% and for the correction of more than 18 pages a day it increases by 100%.

3.   Important note

For all the texts that are intended for press, CIKLOPEA recommends the linguistic correction. Publishers engage the corrector’s services for the publishing of literary works written by Croatian writers, foreign companies often hire native speakers for text corrections, therefore the translations of technical, science and other professional texts that are to be printed should also be corrected. CIKLOPEA Ltd will not take the responsibility for complaints about texts that have not been lectured but were published in the press or in the media.
